The ALS Necklace Collection: All You Need to Know

A Note on Transparency:

Yesterday I had someone comment on this Instagram post saying, 'I was little disappointed to see that only $1 was donated.'

This obviously made me very sad, because I try to be as transparent as possible (some might argue TOO transparent), but it made me realize not everyone has seen or read where I addressed the donation details of the ALS Necklace collection.

*The donation to ALS TDI was matched on giving Tuesday so that amount was actually doubled! Also, this was the second round of donations to Her ALS Story and Adaptive Impact, so those numbers do not reflect the total amount donated, just what was donated on Tuesday.

Donation Details

You may notice the product cards say “$1 from every piece sold is donated to ALS Therapy Development Institute (ALS TDI)”. That’s true for all non-ALS-necklace items. BUT for the ALS Necklace Collection, I want you to be confident that the donation is $5 per necklace, and goes to the individual nonprofit associated with the person being honored by that necklace.

I don't want anyone to ever question my integrity behind this business or what or how much is donated. So, while I wish the numbers in the images were higher- that is realistically how much I can donate without going out of business (and no longer be able to offer these special necklaces to future ALS warriors).

As this business grows (the goal for next year!), I'll be able to increase donations. Your support in this journey is so very important and appreciated!
